A recent Trip Advisor list of the top five emerging holiday destinations features Nairn in the Scottish Highlands.
Nairn came second behind Troncones in Mexico on the grounds that it makes a perfect jumping-off point for exploring the Highlands.
The other three upcoming holiday destinations were El Chalten in Patagonia, Patara in Turkey and Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany.
The Highlands scenery is obviously the biggest draw for Nairn, but there is also golf, good food and, according to a spokesperson, a warm welcome.
