Thomas Cook chooses US flights and hotels reservations firm

Thomas Cook have opted to move to a different computer reservations system for flights and hotels, opting for the Galileo system offered by US company, Travelport.

Having previously used the Amadeus system, all Thomas Cook’s online business will now be moved onto the new system. Thomas Cook say that Travelport spent the time to identify what they needed from a global distribution system and believe that Galileo can meet those needs.

Travelport, a flights and hotels reservations firm, have also announced their attention to float the business on the stock market next month.
