Following another half a metre of snow last week, Tignes ski resort has now opened even more lifts. The high altitude of many of the slopes means that skiing can start as early as September, but now the Double M piste is open which runs down to Val Claret.
The Double M slope is 3km long and offers a 1.4km drop. It is a long and satisfying red run and it means there is plenty of skiing to be had already in Tignes.
The official opening of Espace Killy, which serves Val d’Isere and Tignes, is still set to be the 28th of this month.
