A recent study carried out by Santander Cards has found that the average price of a ski holiday, including flights and accommodation, is now £686. This is approximately 15 per cent more than the average price last year.
The strength of the euro has not helped matters, so increasing numbers of people are looking for cheap ski deals outside of the Eurozone. Bulgaria and Slovenia are popular, but don’t discount heading to somewhere like Andorra. While it may seem equally costly at first glance, the cost once you’re at the resort is a fraction of that at major resorts like Chamonix or Meribel. Similarly, Livigno in Italy is a tax haven and relatively affordable once you’re there. Look for cheap ski packages to get there and you’ll reap the benefits.
