Your Courchevel ski holidays are to be captured on film from now on – for ten days, at any rate.
The French ski resort has invested in CCTV this year. Nine cameras will monitor goings-on, but the footage will only be kept for ten days.
The cameras have been tested down to minus 20 and will monitor happenings in the town itself, not on the slopes – so unfortunately you can’t go and ask to see the moment when your friend temporarily lost control and landed on their face.
Courchevel joins Meribel, Les Arcs and several other ski resorts in having CCTV cameras put in place.
