We are booked on the flight BA0058 from Cape Town to London on 25 May 2010 – Booking Reference 4T1C8K. What will happen if the flight is cancelled due to the strike?? We reside more than 200km from the airport and will have to travel to Cape Town especially for the flight.

Will alternative arrangements be made to accomodate us as we have made and paid for accomodation in the UK ??

An urgent reply will be appreciated.

I’d also recommend Bourg-St-Maurice or Aime-La-Plagne. We’ve taken the train over to Bourg and it was worth every second.

It’s not the first time the A380 has been to OR Tambo in Johannesburg. Airbus used the airport for testing on 2004. This was the first commercial flight.

We were some of the people booked on the cruise ship. We were not told anything about the cancellation. The company, New West Services LP, does not answer calls and has posted on their website that people must send in an email with all of their booking information in order to start the refund process. I have sent in the information, but no reply. Unfortunately, for our family, we cannot afford to book alternative accommodation until we receive our refund. I happened to stumble upon the information the cruise ship was cancelled. I believe other guests will also be unaware an will show up without a place to stay. More media attention should be given to this irresponsible company, and let guests know their olympic experience will change as they no longer have a place to stay for the games.

Not only are hoteliers angry about fake reviews (like this one reported on http://visitnormandy.wordpress.com/trip-advisor-fake-reviews/ ) but according to recent newspaper articles in Britain, one major hospitality industry association is challenging TripAdvisor’s right to publish anonymous reviews before the European Commisision. Not before time.
