A recent study carried out by Co-op Travel has found that holidays in Egypt and in particular to Sharm el Sheikh have increased in popularity hugely of late.
With many people looking for winter sun for the half-term holidays, bookings for the Red Sea resort have more than doubled compared to the same period last year.
Spain has seen a huge decrease in popularity in the same period, perhaps due to the strength of the Euro, so cheap holidays in Sharm el Sheikh are taking up the slack with British holidaymakers who have already grown tired of the autumnal chill.
