Many ski resorts are cutting their prices in light of the recession, opening up the possibilities for cheap ski holidays in parts of Europe where you would ordinarily expect huge costs.
The Post Office’s ski resort study has found that despite exchange rates, Italy and France are actually reasonably affordable this year. Courchevel, for instance has cut prices by up to a quarter compared to last year.
Many skiers will be heading to Eastern Europe in a bid to save money this year, but it seems that this may be ill-advised. The various discounts and offers being used by resorts nearer home could mean they are just as affordable.
